Small Table, Big Design.

I found this piece at a thrift store, pitiful in its appearance. The petite size and proportions of the legs to the body, made me smile. I bought it and used it to practice my painting technique and refine design ideas.
Sometimes, I sand a piece down to the raw veneer or wood to get a fresh start on it. Some of the paints I use don't require that step but I like to take this step so that the texture of the wood grain shows up even after it's been painted.
Head over to my blog to read about my thought process and painting technique on this small mid century table. Also, I share a big mistake made that turned into an opportunity!

Stunning! I've never seen anything quite like this! Curious, what did it look like before?

Hi Miriam: Here is a photo of a similar piece. It's not the actual table but will give you an idea of what it looked like before. Thanks!
