I don’t know about you but isn’t it amazing, how excited we get when we
start a new project on our homes! Then work and reality set in and you begin
to think, what was I thinking?
Our Kitchen Makeover!
A picture of our kitchen before we started our makeover.
Sink area! We used some old ceiling boards that came out of our old lumberyard for the backsplash! I don't have a kitchen window, yet! So, I decided to take a picture and insert in an old window frame, until I get a window:)
Our Montgomery Wards cabinet we found! This cabinet had been sitting in a friend's barn, not in bad shape to be 67+ years old. The cabinet only needed a little sanding before primer and paint were applied.
The top was in pretty darn good condition. This is a picture before I used Bar Keepers Friend Cleaner. She looks almost new!!
This is why a typical kitchen setup is not required. I have a nice panty, behind this door. When I get order restored, I will show you what is behind the red door!
Preparing to install the new repurposed backsplash!
Another angle of my kitchen. It is so user friendly, with my Old Weathered Door Spice rack, right above my prep table! I also love having my veggie rack, near!
The other side of our open kitchen.

how did you refinish the metal cabinet? My whole kitchen(not just the sink area), is white metal cabinets from the 40's.
