DIY Bulletin Board Wall Art

I hope I didn't just throw away a priceless piece of artwork! But it was so ugly...
I found a fabulous gold frame at a local consignment store, but I hated the painting that came with it.
So I trashed the canvas (or rather, I'm saving it for another DIY project) and made an oversized bulletin board for my home office and craft room by covering a cork board with a yard of gorgeous fabric.
To dress it up even more, I added vintage botanical prints -- that I printed myself for free.
Seriously, the hardest thing about this project was centering it on the wall above my desk.
I'm sharing all the DIY details, plus the source for the printable artwork, on my blog.
From drab to fab! I ditched the ugly painting that came in this consignment store frame and covered cork board with some pretty fabric. I used vintage botanicals to create a pretty art piece for my office. The art was free!
Love these vintage botanical prints I printed for free from my home computer.
I transformed a thrift store painting into a fabulous and functional piece of artwork using fabric and free printable botanical images. It's also a bulletin board.
I just love my new girly office. It's decorated in pink, green, gray and aqua -- all inspired by the fabulous fabric on my window cornice.
