Mermaid Inspired Upcycle...

The weather has finally been warm enough to paint. This piece is a bamboo slatted table that we picked up at our local auction house awhile back and has been sitting patiently waiting for a makeover. Truth be told it was one of those you just kind of look over because it is hard to imagine what it could be used for. However, on a beautiful weekday I decided to tackle it. I found some paint samples laying around in many shades of blue/greens and decided to give this piece a beach cottage feel. I did a few paint techniques to give it this rustic feel. This table could be used indoor or outdoors.
After: I painted it in Palladian Blue by Benjamin Moore. I actually had Lowes color match it for me it Valspar paint since I was there. I then had some bronzing craft paint and where I sanded the wood down I went over it with a bronzing effect. My mermaid was my inspiration!

I have a smaller version of this table and I was wondering what to do with it - now I know! Thanks!

This is great! The color is one I'd use often.

@Jeanneabbott12 thank you. I love these shades of blue/green I don't think you can ever go wrong with them.
