Gardening and pest control

My dahlia (in ground ad in pots) and amaranth plants have holes in their leaves. The dahlia have buds that look healthy. I'd like to do something to cure this unsightly problem and make sure they continue to be healthy.

One of my neighbors has given me some to use on my outside cat as flea control. Thanks for reminding me of he goods uses of DE.

You really need to know what the pest is to know how to control it. I'd give your plants a good spray with a hose, making sure to get the undersides of the leaves, before doing anything else.

We just had some heavy overnight rain. But I suspect all this does is pray the soil to the underside of the plants. I will do what you suggest. Thanks
