Fun And Funky Lampshade

After reupholstering a wing back chair with fun and funky patterns, I had some fabric left over. Nothing goes to waste around here, so I cut the fabric into strips and tied it onto a lamp shade frame. I also added some muslin strips to the shade. The shade is perfect on a floor lamp next to the wing back chair.
The fabric looks so pretty with the light shining through it.
Don't throw away old lampshades. Remove the covering and turn them into something fabulous.
What would you do with a pile of leftover fabric?
The strips of fabric can be cut at different lengths to add a little more whimsy to the project.
Tie the strips on with a simple knot.
The lamp has taken its rightful place next to the matching wing back chair at Earth Mama's General Store.
