Big Flower Bed

Julie Rainwater
by Julie Rainwater
This bed is connected to my long three tiered rose bed. It isn't completed yet. I have some roses planted in three of the sections, but I am unsure what to put in the really shaded section. I want something that would look good with the roses. Any suggestions? Right now it is just a collection of weeds and grass.

Your flowers are beautiful. I have several Hostas, but the deer will not leave them alone. I have tried several tricks to try to keep the deer away from them, but no luck. I also have some of the Chicks and Hens in my cactus beds. I will get me some of the Coral Bells. They are so beautiful.Thank you for the helpful advice.

Foxgloves look beautiful with roses, are happy in shade and are unpalatable to deer.

@Douglas Hunt Thank you Douglas, I will try some of those also. It is a big area to fill. I have some Elephant ears that I am planning on putting in it also.
