Not so "tired" garden!

Wanting a garden but with not alot of space, we got old tires and planted my veggies in them. I can keep snail pellets around them on the ground and take care of the weeds easily. Of course we had to fence it due to the deer that roam on the property.

Now why in the world did I not think of this!!!! I have wanted to do raised gardening but just did not want to go to the trouble or expense of building beds! I am going to clip this just in case I decide to farm! HA!

Even if u have a regular garden, tires r a great way to keep invasive, perennial vegetables and herbs in check. I have horseradish, mints and garlic chives in my double decker tires. Four years and they r still where they belong and really easy to harvest. U can paint the tires too, if u want to liven your garden. Use em for flower planters too. Cheap, sometimes free, and portable. Of course, ur HOA may have some issues, but I live in the suburban country and no one cares. Love ur tire garden, happy eating. Fence is a great idea, too.
