Patriotic Wreath Tutorial

I love holiday wreaths. I especially love patriotic ones. I've seen a flurry of them recently and couldn't help myself, I just had to make one. Here is my take on the patriotic wreath, just in time for Memorial Day.
I purchased all my supplies from Michaels. Here is what you will need:

Chevron Ribbon: 2 spools- $3.99 ea

Red, white & blue ribbon: 1 spool- $2.99 (bow)

Straw wreath- $3.49 (small)

Pack of glitter stars- $5.99 (optional)

Pins

Hot glue gun

Scissors
I decided to just pin my ribbon around the wreath so I have the option of reusing the wreath in the future. Now, it was as simple as just wrapping ribbon around the wreath, making sure to cover it completely. I overlapped the ribbon slightly.
Next I made a bow to go on the top of the wreath. I doubled up the ribbon to make the bow larger. I then hot glued the glitter stars on, bunching them together on one side to add drama.
Here is the finished wreath. Big, bright and bold with color. My door is all ready for memorial day.

this looks like it could be a very quick wreath to make. I don't have any time myself right now, but might just use it for fourth of July instead of Memorial Day, but I still would love to have someone go step by step in that soft wreath material that they came out and made great big loops. I really would love to go to a class and let so me one show me step by step, But until I find a tutorial, this will definitely do. thanks, dottie copeland...
