    I'm with Jeanette S! Leave it alone! LOADS of character! Guys love this stuff! You paint it, you'll destroy the character and ambience.

    I'm sure there must be a leather restorative product you could use to help it out. if there is a shoe repair shop ask them, or at a store that sells leather products or furniture. I agree, no paint!

    I would just give it a rubdown with olive oil or leather creme. That will take the dry scuffs out. The cracks, IMO, give it character- and will flake any paint you put on it anyway.

    It has character a just needs a good rub down , lots of products especially in an auto store
