How do I remove permanent marker from a wall?

have black marker pen marks on a wall; want to remove them.

I found a video on Youtube where they shared that the magic sponges work. You might have to spot paint the area, depending on the quality of paint used, but they are suppose to do the job. You'll want to fast forward to see it actually work. This was flat paint, which would more than likely need repainted. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sbujdmvz-HE

Goo gone or desolve it. It might also take the paint off. It is not consistent. Chip at least a quarter size bit of paint and either lowes or Home Depot can match it.

At work we use 99% pure alcohol on anything a sharpee touches. The higher the % pure you can find the faster it works.

Try rubbing alcohol, not the wintergreen, just the regular.

Test the magic eraser somewhere first, they WILL remove paint. I found that out the hard way. I'd try a baking soda & water paste first before I tried any chemicals.
