Product Review: Norwex Dry Mops

I would say I am a relatively clean person. I try to clean our home once a week - it may be a week and a half at times. My cleaning routine usually consists of dusting, cleaning the bathrooms, wiping down kitchen counters, picking up, and cleaning the floors. Again, I try to do this weekly.
Since being introduced to Norwex, I have been trying a few of their products and as always, wondering how they measure up. I have used a swiffer mop for years. Although, I have tweaked the idea of a swiffer mop because I was too cheap to buy the refills. I then started to use my cheap microfiber cloths and attached them to the mop. I thought it was a rather genius idea, thinking that I was saving money and getting that much more dirt off of our floors. I thought I was sitting pretty good.
Then I decided to use my new Norwex Mop System. First of all, I was shocked at how fast I had mopped the floor. Instead of sweeping, I used the dry mop pad (though I would recommend getting the superior dry mop pad because it has corners, unlike the regular). After I used the dry mop, this is what I picked up:
Can I just say YIKES! All of THAT came off of my floors - the floors I clean WEEKLY? Apparently my whole swiffer mop idea tanked as I look at the results of using JUST the dry mop. I decided to follow up with the wet mop pad (made of microfiber) and again, was a little shocked at what I had picked up. Granted now that it is nice out, I feel we come in and out of the house a little more often, but still.
So why the Norwex Mop?
No need to use toxic chemicals
Floors dry in 20 seconds (no need to tell the kids to stay off!)
No pails (ever have a pail tip over?)
Just water and the mop
Rustproof
Adjustable handle and swivel head
Easy clean up
Can be used on all smooth surfaces such as walls, windows, ceilings, and floors (how about that for a multi-use item!)
If you are interested in trying out the mop for yourself and getting all of that dirt that you leave behind every week, I would suggest getting the Norwex Superior Mop System, but the Norwex Starter Mop System does do the job as well (the only difference is the large dry mop). If you get the starter kit and realize that you want to get the superior dry mop, you can get just the superior dry mop itself, instead of buying the whole kit again.
