Faux Concrete Candle Holders + Mason Jars = Unique Outdoor Lighting

I found these candle holders at an estate sale last summer. They've been sitting on my porch waiting to be refreshed! I had issues with candles sitting in them correctly because the cups weren't very deep so I decided to use them in a different way!

I started out with a blank canvas! Just faux concrete with cool details. I knew I wanted these to grace the entry of my shop, which meant they'd be in the weather so I decided to go with a patina look!

I used Modern Masters Metal Effects to achieve the patina that would take years to get naturally! Click over to the blog post to see the entire patina process!

This shot shows the paint after being spritzed with the Patina Aging Solution.

This is the kind of paint you want to watch dry!! So cool!!

I used the Green Aging Solution where water would gather and did some faux finishing to make the candle holders look like they'd been sitting in the weather forever!

For the lighting, I hot glued mason jar lids into the cups.

I added battery operated, flickering candles and screwed the Mason Jars on! They make my little heart skip a beat!
