I went outside to add a little ivy to my planter as one of them died when I went on vacation, but saw this yellow creature. What is it? At first I thought "Oh" how cute, then immediately thought holy cow what can it be? I mushroom of some sort, but never seen a yellow one before.
This planter box is under my front patio porch.

Looks like Leucocoprinus birnbaumii aka Lepiota lutea/Yellow Houseplant Mushroom. Here is a link: http://botit.botany.wisc.edu/toms_fungi/feb2002.html

@Rhonda B - Thank you so much Rhonda for this link, it was so informative and so relieved that wasn't poisonous and harmless. :-)

@Barb Rosen - :-) Funny at first I thought, "did someone put that there?" So if fairies moved in, just hope they are friendly ones.

@Judy Adams Thanks Judy, it was quite a surprise, since I've never seen one. It lasted a couple of day and those little babies were the last after they bloom quick. Then they were gone. I did see another planter that had them as well. We have been so hot and humid, but never had these yellow beauties before.

You know they keep coming back. We've had a very humid wet summer -unlike our usual dry summers. 👍😉

I have never had the pleasure of seeing a plant like this, so bright and beautiful. Looks like a tiny village for tiny happy mushroom people. Lol
