Stashing Succulents (and Other Plants) My Way

10 Minutes
Easy
It's hard to believe, but I've come up with a few more places to stash succulents to add interesting visual highlights to the garden. And…I'm working on a few more.
A repurposed chair
I picked up this chair at an auction for $1 and it was structurally sound, but had a very ugly paint job. When I realized how poorly it had been painted, I didn't want to refinish or strip it. So I removed the seat, sprayed the chair a pretty pink, fashioned a basket out of cage wire and two placemats which I inserted in the seat space, and filled it with my newest succulents (I know...I said I was going to stick with Hens and Chicks, but I couldn't resist) and pink glass blobs.
Couldn't resist these sneakers I saw at a thrift store for 75-cents. When I placed them on the ground on a brick paver, they looked even cuter.
These hanging pots of Gerbera Daisies adds a pop of color to a mostly green section of the garden. They are hanging in a parrot cage--another thrift store find.
Surprise! More Hens and Chicks!
I've had this basket hanging around taking up space, placed it on a block of marble, which is on an old wire dressing table bench. Put the succulents in terra cotta pots, added stones, and this was basically free!
The bench was originally black, then painted red. Then green. Then it was ignored for a few years and the paint chipped. It was another $1 auction find. I can't decide if I want to repaint it or not. I kind of like the chippy paint and am not so sure a new paint job would be an improvement.
