@Karen Hans Score the surface and then use a wallpaper steamer. I removed paint, wallpaper, paint, etc. down to 100 year old original paper. Wouldn't worry about lead in any paint between layers of paper as it will be sopping wet from the steamer. Just bag it while it is still wet.

I love the fresh color- I like different colors to help make a room pop. Great job!!

Thank you for the suggestions but this doesn't answer my question because It was so interesting to me that no one who ( looks like ) answer my question actually never read the question. Just look at the pictures and compliments the job, of course I appreciate for that.!!!
  • Take an ice-cream bucket of warm water about half full and pour into it 1/4 C. laundry softener and an old rag. Wring out the rag fairly well and rub about a 2-3 ft area on the wall. Soak it fairly good. Let it set for about 5 minutes. Take a paring knife and work up under the paper and begin to peel it off the wall. If not coming off right away, put more solution on the rag and to the wall. It will all peel off, with ease and much less than renting a steamer or buying a special solution. try it!!!

Thanks for your inputs. This will not help the guy in Georgia, but it helps me with the property I'm trying to purchase. It has a 2001 Mobile Home with very outdated flowery wallpaper I definitely want to remove.
