Ideas for colors

I would like some input for ideas adding more spring and summer colors to the living room using pillows, etc, The walls are done in a light tan sponge.

If you were willing to change your curtains/valance to something else, then you have limitless options with colour as your furniture colour is a nice neutral tone. As it is, I feel you are a little trapped in with that red'ish shade that is in the curtains. I hope you don't mind me saying this. I would change those and go to town with colour. You could also use a throw over the checkered chair to change that from a red shade and make the whole room pop with some new, brighter colours. Good luck!

In my opinion if you are just wanting to add a pop of color. I would go with a bright apple green!

Find the brightest colors in your drapes and curtains and go with them. Reddish pink, bright green and the pale beige or pale gold. A nice area rug would brighten up the floors too. Anything that has the colors in these pillows. Also the use of green plants would brighten up your room or nice floral arrangement. Some art work with flowers.

I agree with what others have said. I also see a bright yellow working, too. Also, if you change your curtains to a more airy fabric and print I think that would do the trick.
