Painted Upholstered Chair {Annie Sloan Chalk Paint}

A little paint and a stencil ....and you have a completely different look! My other chair turned out so well I decided to do it again! This one will get tons of use (by me, every day in my office) I love it..and I did it on a dime!
The chair as it was when I brought it home with me. A little colonial for my decor! They had about 50 of them. From a hotel, most likely. (no surprise since I live close to Williamsburg ;) )
I painted it in a paled version of Duck Egg Blue.
Adding some white to the piping to make it pop! I love contrast.

    I painted 2 fabric cornice board valances I wasn't using anymore and gave them to my niece who moved into a new house. There are still up after 7 years and still look great. I also painted a bulky string wall covering instead of removing it because I liked the texture of it. That has been repaint 3 times because of color changes through the years. I still love it and get compliments too!

    You can use fabric medium, can be found with the craft paint at a craft store. It will help the paint stay elastic and won't crack during use......... nice chair Nancy, love the color.
