Solid Mahogany, great lines and iron detailing? I lucked out! (that's my buddy Charlie in the background :) )
They appeared to have spent years in a garage or shed and had spent a considerable amount of time in the rain...
But with a little patience and lots & lots of great materials (stain, chalk paint, acrylic paint, minwax & poly sealer and a wee stencil) they came back to life.
Having always had a soft spot for Route 66, I just had to...
The side tables were in the worst condition but I could see through the scars and marks to what their potential was.
They remind of being at a chalet in ski country by the fire with an Errol Flynn. Hence the pseudo skin rug.
To add a little whimsy I added a graphic to the backs of the side tables...
New hardware was a must so I opted for metal to blend with the detailing on all three tables. These will be hard to part with!
