Outdoor Living: We are going to build our retirement home.

Neither of us wants a tub/jacuzzi in the master bathroom. Is a large (no lip) walk in shower an acceptable option for senior housing resale?

We had a tile shower built just 6 months ago and the grout cracked two months ago top to ...»
bottom in one corner, on the bottom two corners are cracked on both sides along the bottom allowing water to go into the "pan" I suppose. So, if you go for a tile shower make sure the person doing it knows what they are doing. We had the licensed contractor building an addition to the house do the shower. Needless to say we also have a lot of problems with the sunroom construction. We haven't had one contractor come to our home and do a good job. Why? In S. Florida we didn't have this problem. The contractor for the addition was a referral from the Better Homes and Gardens website. So again I say, make sure whatever you choose that you check out the contractor. We don't know what to do now with our construction mess.
