Yes, you should be able to paint them. You need to get the dust off first by wiping or washing. Then you will need a good primer that is stain-blocking. Now you are ready for color. It won't look like sheetrock but it will make a huge difference and be so fresh.

I think any surface can be painted, as long as it is prepped correctly, and use the right paint !! Don't be in a hurry, and enjoy your project!

I'm not sure what type of panels....but anything can be painted so long as you use the right materials and apply it with proper technique. Use a primer first and then add the color you want. Good luck!

Definitely dust them, use a good primer, Kilz or Zinser123. Use a good quality roller and paint. Sherwin Williams or Benj. Moore.

I decided to take down on the wall panels and replace them with wood flooring. It looks remarkable. I will try to post a before and after picture when my daughter comes to visit as I do not know how to post pics. Thanks to everyone who cared to reply.

I would suggest washing the panels with TSP and warm water first, let dry, prime with Kilz2, then paint your favorite color! Have lots of fun and enjoy your new room!
