DIY Leopard Print Table

This is the story of a table that was an almost fail. I've had this table in my basement for a long time. I loved the retro feel of it, but I just couldn't decide what colors to paint it.
This is how the table looked originally. It is one of the last few pieces my sweet neighbor gave me before she moved. I loved the wood tone and would have kept it - but the finish was peeling and it was laminate underneath - no re-staining for this baby.
Then one day the color combo finally hit me, black and yellow. Friends, please remind me the next time that I want to paint something black and yellow that it also resembles caution signs and bees. This was not the look I was going for.
So I primed it again. And it sat again. For a while.
One day, I finally thought black and gold. That combo has never failed me. I painted the whole piece black, then topped it off with a stenciled leopard print.
Right now, this table is on my screened-in porch. I had planned on using it inside somewhere, but I'm loving it outside. We'll see where it ends up.
