A Plain Ceiling Gets a "Wow" Factor With Plaster Stencils
by

Creative customer Janet Culp was thrilled with how her ceiling came out. She painted it deep burgundy red then added raised plaster stenciling against the moldings to make the ceiling "pop" with design. Common joint compound and the plaster stencils were all she needed to make this project quick.
Plaster Stenciling is so easy! Simply tape the stencil to the intended area then smooth pre-mixed joint compound over the stencil openings. Peel the stencil back to reveal the raised design and let dry. Any water based paint or colorant can be added to the joint compound prior to stenciling when color is desired.
