My Little Cobblestone Raised Garden Bed

For this project, I decided to combine 3 differently-sized separate wooden raised garden beds into one garden, lined with cobblestones.
The house we moved into had 3 differently-sized, rotting wooden raised garden beds. They looked reminiscent of 3 graves, and I could not stand to look at them. I came across a great deal on gray cobblestones for $1.00 each, so I purchased 200 of them. I love the look of stone in a yard, so decided to take a day off of work to remove the old raised beds, and combine the space they took into a single raised bed, surrounded by the stones.

After removing the old beds and digging the connectors between each bed, I laid down the first layer of stones. The second layer was added after, using Quickrete to hold the stones together.

I am obviously not a professional Mason, and the entire garden project is not perfect in any way...but I do like the final outcome and it is holding up well and has no weeds entering through the stones.

We use this garden area to grow our tomotoes (12 plants), cucumbers (6 plants), peppers (4 plants), pole beans (many plants in one large bed area) and broccoli (6 plants.
