DIY: Turn an Old Bathroom Vanity Into a Built-in Bed

We took our old 1970's bathroom vanities and turned them into great beds with tons of storage. This project is perfect for kids' rooms!
When we remodeled our 1979 house, we needed ways to increase storage space without increasing square footage. Making built-in beds with TONS of storage was one of the ways we did this.
This project was very budget friendly. It also helped us increase the size of the bedroom this was used in... the existing closet was removed and all of the built-in storage is in the bed.
Our beds are pretty tall and haven't left room for adding nightstands, so we made sure to install nightlights inside the beds.

This project could be enhanced by adding some curtains- so stay tuned for a follow up post once that happens!
