Repurposed tires , spray painted and turned into planters

I searched for some tires, cleaned them and spray painted bright colors to spruce up the yard.
Cost: $40.00 Difficulty: Easy
You can put down black paper inside the tire for drainage with rocks .
I incorporated the look by placing planters and the tire on the tree.

Love your funky tires, especially the one hanging on the tree. Just a word of warning though on using them as planters. Great for flowers and ornamentals but not good for growing vegetables in case anyone wants to use them for that, as the rubber tires can leach chemicals into the growing food. I know some people use them as potato growing towers but it is now considered not safe to do so from the toxins leaching into the spuds aspect. I have used a tired in the garden myself and painted it up and I know what fun this idea can be!

Jan I used a large nail to hang the tire. I have hung things on my other trees and they have been like that to 15 years.. Still alive and well
