How To Organize Your Buttons

What do you do with all of your buttons?
You buy a new shirt and there is often a little baggy or button sewn into the bottom of the front of the shirt. Do you just throw away the button? Do you toss it into your sewing basket? Or does it just end up on a dresser or in your junk drawer?
The thing is, when you need the button, you can't find it. You can't remember if you tossed it, put it in a "safe" place, or at the bottom of your sewing basket.

I knew there had to be a better way to organize these buttons. Unfortunately I have no idea what they even go to. So here they sit, in a pile.
Then one day, as I lost a button to one of my shirts, I went to my "safe" place (my sewing basket) and couldn't figure out which button it was. The clear, white, and black buttons, started to all look the same. It was honestly sad with how many I had!

I then had this idea to KEEP the actually baggies that the extra button came in, and write on the bag what the button goes to. Really, you should only have ONE cardigan of that color, so that is why I did not specify which cardigan.
It is as simple as that!

If you have so many buttons that you don't know what to do with, you may have to buy small baggies, but hopefully you have decluttered your clothes enough, that you do not even have that many extra buttons.
