Red Blossoms Are Showstoppers in the Garden!

While pale or cool colors fade or disappear in the distance, red will always advance to the eye. While I am not a proponent of an all red garden, see how adding pops of red to your borders and container gardens will capture the attention of passersby.
Here I have used red Gardenview Scarlett Monarda in the border and and red Calibrachoa on the ladder. These red plants draw attention to this planting so all of the other wonderful colors and textures get noticed.
Red geraniums and verbena are perfect in Patriotic displays.
Red star shaped Nicotiana blossoms outshine the paler ones.
Red petunias may be the showiest of all red blossoms, but deadheading is necessary to keep them tidy.
Here a row of red impatiens edge a small flower garden.
Draw eyes up with hanging baskets (or galvanized pails) of red and white Swingtime fuchsias. More red annuals and perennials on my blog post!
