Dresser With DIY Copper Pipe Drawer Pulls

It’s kinda sad but we actually bought this dresser off of craigslist a year ago (yikes!) and it’s just been sitting in the garage ever since. The main problem is I was so indecisive when it came to transforming it, so I just let it sit there until I knew for sure what I wanted to do.
Since the dresser is pretty square I wanted to add some legs to the bottom to give it some added height and character. I also knew I wanted to go with longer drawer pulls versus knobs because the drawers are pretty heavy and it was difficult to open them with the type of knobs it originally came with. I decided to create copper pipe drawer pulls, but wasn't sure of the most cost effective way to do this since I wanted the pipes to sit away from the dresser.
I browsed the hardware store until I came up with a solution… copper pipe bell hangers! So for less than $30 I was able to create 5 custom copper pipe drawer pulls, and I love how they look against the navy blue paint I mixed up! I used really long pieces of copper pipe for the bottom drawers so the same amount of materials could actually create even more drawer pulls if you wanted.
