Small Tips for Painting Concrete Block

Painting concrete block can be a challenge because it is a rough surface and simply because concrete and other masonry surfaces has tendency to want to soak up paint (and well anything with water in it for that mater).
This vid contains some quick tips:
* I thoroughly wire brushed & washed these columns, let them dry completely and confirmed that they were not overly alkaline.
* I selected a high quality paint (Sherwin-Williams Resilience) and cut it to about 5% with water.
* Painted with a dabbing and stroke motion with a brush.
I am in the process of building skirt walls between these columns. and look for a post on that soon. Cheers and Happy Home Improving. ~jb
