My sister painted her bedroom a dark blue ( it was a cream shade) and it looks fantastic!
You might be suprised at how much you like a dark shade after living with a netural.

Glad to see I'm not the only one who's such a fan of dark paint!

Much of my house is done in dark paint; it started with a dark red in my studio and went from there. If any one is considering this, one tip: dark does not necessarily mean colour with black in it. This can be overwhelming in some circumstances. What you DO want is an intense, saturated-with-pigment paint, with lots of complex colour. The kind that take the most words to describe. A great starter palette is the old Ralph Lauren "Thoroughbred" pallet. I believe the colours are still available at Home Depot? Or google around.
