Decorating With Upcycled Teacups and Old China

Although formal dinner parties and old fashioned High Teas don't have a place in the usual day in and day out events in today's busy world we can still appreciate the beauty of old china and use it when decorating our homes.

One of the most simplest ways to decorate our homes with vintage china is to display it in a cabinet or an a wall shelf.

I found an old china set in a thrift shop that contained a couple of tea pots that had no lids. I upcycled them by adding some silk flowers, creating two beautiful centerpieces.

You can buy really cheap silk flowers in many different discount stores or you can splurge a little and purchase realistic beauties in your local craft shop. They can be expensive but will usually go on sale quite frequently.

Broken china? No problem. This elegant mosaic picture frame makes good use out of some old broken china pieces.

I created this upcycled Tea Party inspired floral wreath using old teacups and saucers, a vintage hanky, lace, pearls and other feminine accents.

Place a scented candle wrapped in tulle inside a delicate vintage teacup and you have a wonderful little gift for someone special.
