Creating container plants each year to fill landscape voids and add a punch of color is fun and challenging. For my full sun garden, I came up with some 'cool' colors this year, and added a little happy surprise. See blog post for more.
Happy surprise added to container plant: $5 solar path light from Lowe's!
Container plants, courtyard: Dracaena spike, diamond frost, heliotrope, zinnia, asparagus fern. Rectangular concrete urn on step: lantana and heliotrope
Landscape containers: Purple fountain grass, potato vine, heliotrope, zinnia, asparagus fern
Annuals, purchased from local farmers' market.
Additional annuals, purchased from local farmers' market. Perennial lavender replacement plants on the right.
Fern added to vintage cast iron urn on front porch
'Cheater' container (mostly already planted by market vendor greenhouse): dracaena, geraniums, lobelia, bacopa, diamond frost
