Organize Your Garage Using Junk You Already Have!

Organizing your garage can be expensive! I show you how to organize your garage using many item you might already have on hand, or can easily be found for free or very little expense.
My garage was a big mess! I decided to use many things I already had to get the clutter under control. A dresser without drawers hold plastic containers, labeled and filled with small tools and items I often use. Garbage cans on rolling platforms are a great way to store scrap wood and long boards.
Got chairs? Hang hooks from the perimeter around your ceiling! You can now easily see what is in your stash, and you have freed up precious floor space.
Use an old dining table, add a piece of wood to the bottom and casters. I added one more piece of MDF to the center using L brackets to support the wood. Long nails on the side o fthe table hold paint brushes. Now I have a large moveable work table, and the items I need most are close at hand.
I placed more narrow shelves on the other side of the table and I store all my favorite paints here. Now they are literally just at an arms reach away.
I designated "work areas" for different uses. The front of my garage is for the table saw, chop saw and wood and shelving supports I found are used for storing small power tools. The table saw work table is made from an old shipping pallet.

Just out of curiosity, where do you put your car?

I'm glad I'm not the only one who doesn't finish the garage walls. Makes it so much easier to find the studs to hang and organize stuff!
