Dish Strainer Mold & Mildew Problem?...Problem SOLVED

Are you sick & tired of recurring mold & mildew on your Dish Strainer and/or Sink guards & mats?
Then Kill-it and Prevent-it from coming back by following the two-step process described below. This is today’s Best-Practice for the long-term sustainable protection against Mold & Mildew (6-months).
A. Kill Mold & Mildew
I recommend a 3-Step Killing process for killing the surface spores and killing the embedded spores in the material.
(For Green Cleaning - skip to Step-2)
1. Bleach Wash - Kill the surface mold & mildew and remove stain by scrubbing with bleach. CAUTION: Bleach has strong fumes so ensure that there is plenty of ventilation to diffuse the fumes or where a Household Cleaner fume mask (cheap at the big Home Stores). Be particularly careful working in confined spaces like a small shower enclosure. Use a fan to help move the air.
2. Vinegar Wash - Kill embedded mold & mildew spores by scrubbing with full-strength distilled white vinegar. For severe spots and stains, more contact time with the vinegar is required. This can be accomplished by soaking toilet paper in vinegar and sticking the wetted toilet paper to the affected area for an hour or two.
3. Hydrogen Peroxide Wash - Use an additional penetrating killing agent to ensure that the embedded spores are really dead. Hydrogen-Peroxide (H2O2) - readily available at grocery and drug stores. Use same wetted toilet paper technique described in Step-3. Allow to soak as long as possible.
B. Prevent Mold & Mildew Growth for 6-months
Preventing Mold & Mildew from coming back for 6-months at a time is the "Easy Part" thanks to Self-Cleen ST3 Spray-on Self-Cleaning Antimicrobial Coating. It has Antibacterial & Antifungal properties to inhibit the growth of fungi like mold & mildew. If bacteria or mold & mildew land on a Self-Cleen ST3 coated surface - they are inhibited from growing.
1. Spray Coat with Self-Cleen ST3 – Applying the coating only takes a few minutes – it’s a simple spray-on, swirl and wipe-off process:
a. Spray on Part-1 Coating
b. Immediately, spray Part-2 Coating over Part-1 Coating
c. Swirl them together for good mixing with a microfiber cloth
d. Wait 30 seconds, then wipe off any excess coating with a dry microfiber cloth
Done
To maintain continuous Mold & Mildew protection, spray-on a fresh coat of Self-Cleen ST3 every 6-months. Problem SOLVED.
