Metal Framed Message Board

I found this metal picture frame at the thrift store for super cheap and couldn't resist its scrolling lines.
So I took it home and found a piece of 1/4" plywood from the stash in the garage, painted it with chalkboard paint, and made it into a chalkboard for messages next to my front door, something I had been thinking to do for quite awhile but wasn't sure how or what I wanted to use.
This is one of those projects that I wasn't anticipating and just turned out to be what I didn't know I was looking for! I love how the detailing of the frame adds character to our front porch. It's fun to have a way to write messages to our visitors.
