Top of table is leather we want to paint it cream shabby chic chalk paint can you paint the leather?

Yes you can! I would suggest putting a coat of shellac on it first to eliminate any oils from the leather coming thru the paint...

If you want a smooth top I used mod podge to put wrapping paper on top. Then you can paint over the paper.
