Laundry Room Update With Basket Cubbies

When we moved into our house, the laundry room hadn't been updated. The lower cabinet doors wouldn't open completely without hitting the dryer, the lighting was harsh and the oak cabinets were dated.
With a $500 budget I replaced the lower cabinets with new cabinet boxes without doors. The shelves were adjustable which meant they could accomodate any size basket.
I painted the cabinetry white to make the space feel cleaner and brighter, and I added a shelf above the washer and dryer.
The walls got a coat of bright blue-green paint (because it reminded me of fabric softener which was apropos for a laundry room)
I also installed beadboard, and some hanging storage and masked an UGLY utility panel with a darling print of a mom and daughter hanging laundry.
I wouldn't exactly call the new room my "oasis" but I do not mind spending time in there as much as I used to!
