I started last year with nothing there, blank canvas I planted only self seeding perennials. Last winter zone 6 lost only few but now that I am at the half way point need help with the finishing touches any suggestions are so very welcome. Soil very rocky horse corals and their eating my plants which grew too fast.
This is what I had to work with. In the beginning my blank canvas.
Hill side of wonderful perennials lost amongst as many weeds. This is north end photo of opposite end fourth picture.
The other end of hill side from weed-ville.tried log and containers.
What was donated for me to start with since this is a nonprofit location. Planted every single plant & then some.
What original entrance looked like. So much work ahead for me wait till you see what I did do with.
This is only view I could find that shows the work done from front door down to sidewalk entrance.
This is what I manged, to complete, from the first photo submitted. This is where all the donated plants went.
Worked really hard on this project only to discover the deer and rabbits destroyed in a weekend.Oh well back to drawing board.
The very first photo how it looked when all done. Survived the winter and gorgeous now.
Desperation is truly Mother of inventive ideas. Just one of my containers to help fill in where I could not dig.Used old trashed fire container.
Broader view of getting there see how much there is left to do....just one example of why I need ideas.
What i would up doing with the front entrance.Right side of side walk up.
Up closer view of that area in front. see how I did cut down all those awful weed trees to open it all up,
Other side of walk way entrance what I was able to do on a string budget.
Well survived and still working hard August accomplishments

You've done some amazing things there. If you could post a photo of the specific area you want to focus on, and tell us how much sun it gets, I'm sure we could come up with some suggestions. And perhaps tell us something about the nature of the non-profit organization.

Beautiful work. The areas seem haphazard somehow. Joining them together would make them flow. As a non-profit, I image cheap is the only thing in your budget. I do have some suggestions. Check with nurseries, or even Pinterest with solutions for your deer and rabbit plant killers. Please take out that white fencing and replace with the bricks you have elsewhere. I suggest paths to join your areas. Put your local Scouts for free labor. Brick edges (builder overruns? demo's?). gravel (yuk, but cheap--from county/ road repairs), mulch (? source) or concrete. Lowe's has forms you can throw a little red tint in to concrete and instant brick path. How about an arbor around your bench (Vocational School, Rotary Clubs, etc and don't rule out Scouts) where you could use the rest of your containers.Lowe's has a very easy grant application for $$ (one page online). They will donate anything they have in their stores. One day ALL of the supplies just showed up. Within weeks! Utilize your free labor! Rotary, and like those, clubs. Target and Verizon will volunteer personnel. High school clubs (even Honor Society). FFA? Groups love to help non-profits. One issue that sucks (the only word appropriate) is getting your project through Building Codes. Maybe without building construction you may be able to avoid that. Otherwise, you have to know a Contractor who can take that off your back. I've thrown a tons at you. But been there, done that. Great luck!

Thank you to so many of you who have gone way beyond any call to duty to respond and share so many great ideas. Douglas, especially you for the suggestions on who could help with the hard heavy accepts of the gardening. As the garden grows this summer I find that it success has actually now caused me more problems, such as need someone to help JUST with the weeds. Also need an individual for just watering during, drought spells. So I can tend to working on the garden itself. I also need to show everyone the ares I am stuck with as opposed to showing you what I did get done they will be presented later this weekend. I will also will take photos of all the stuff I have gathered in hopes of being More crafty but lost or forgot what it was I had wanted to do with all the donated things for garden. Thank you each and everyone.
