Potting Bench Challenge

I recently participated in a potting bench challenge. 6 junkers were given an old cast iron sink and challenged to create a potting bench around it. I stayed true to my style, using colorful reclaimed wood. Check out all the details, including the working sink!
The sink was plumbed by hubby to hook up to a hose.
Colorful reclaimed wood is my favorite. Check out my paint technique here: http://bec4-beyondthepicketfence.blogspot.com/2014/04/paint-tutorial-2.html
Shelves across the back are great places to hold planting essentials--a hoe head to hold twine, soap and a scrub brush to clean up.
A drawer is a great place to hold potting soil.
I used an old brass sprinkler fitting for a drawer pull.
A chalkboard clipboard is a great place for planting reminders.
Rusty nails are the place to hang tools.
And who doesn't need a cold beverage after planting?
A vintage trowel makes a neat towel hanger.
I made sure the sink faucet was tall enough to fill watering cans.
This would also make a great outdoor buffet and bar!
