Garden Conservatory From Old Windows

Here is a gorgeous creative idea by Esther Lyndon Jones from Home Cleaners and Gardeners Geelong. According to her, nowadays' construction and living standards are at all time high, which means old wooden window frames don't have a place in our modern, energy-efficient homes! But if they can't serve us, they can at least serve our plants, right! Besides, I don't believe anyone from this community likes to throw stuff away. So if you were wondering what to do with your old windows here is one practical, achievable and cheap idea.
Every gardener needs a few things - tools, seeds, good soil, good weather, plenty of space and a conservatory. As this source suggest you can use the old windows on top of an already existing raised garden bed, or you can create your very own green house, provided you have more window frames at your disposal. Grow your organic fruit and veg, or plant beautiful flowers, protect them and keep them warm with the help of your old windows.
Putting these projects together is fairly easy, especially if you have a tote bag of tools and know how to use them. Simply drill the windows either to an existing structure or to each other. Make sure they are flexible enough to open and close and your structure doesn't hold water. You don't want to drown your plants.
A collection of adorable ideas.
