#Patriotic Metallic Star Wreath.. From Paper Plates!?

I have a large area on the front of my house (next to the garage door) that is perfect for hanging holiday decorations. Whatever I choose needs to be large enough to fill the space and bold enough to be seen from the street.
This year, for the Fourth of July I couldn't find anything that would fit the bill. But then one afternoon, as I walked though the dollar store, I stumbled onto some shiny metallic star shaped paper plates and I knew I had found my solution.
Using a hot glue gun and an old wreath form, I was able to create a fun and funky wreath that looks like high gloss metal from the street. I even personalized it with the first line from the Star Spangled Banner.. so that it is also interesting up close. Plus because the plates were waxed it has stood up to the weather really well (and it is only intended to be a one-summer wreath.)
The best part?? The total cost for the project was $2 (the cost of 2 sets of plates) since I re-used an old wreath form (and after this summer ends I can tear the plates off and use it again.)
This star studded patriotic wreath is made from nothing more than paper plates, a wreath form and a glue gun.
I used hot glue to attach them to a wreath form
For extra detail I added vinyl words which spell out "Oh Say Can You See"
