Fixing a Cabinet Door That Was Ripped Off the Hinges

Restoring a vintage cabinet with an enamel "Hoosier style" top was easy, except when it came to the door that had been ripped right off the hinges! I could have just added a cute curtain, but figured out a way to repair the door and just turn it around, maintaining the piece's original parts and character.
If you ever encounter this problem with a cabinet door, here's how to fix it. See more at We Call It Junkin.com

Here is the cabinet repainted and repaired, ready for another few decades of use.
This photo shows the damage left where the hinges had been ripped off, after being painted over.
I used a putty knife and Fast N Final to fill in the original holes for the door handle and hinges. Then just turned the door around, left side becoming right side, but front and back remaining front and back as they originally were. I drilled new holes for the handle and hinges, after careful measuring, and done! Good as new!
