Upcycled Fourth of July Utensil Caddy

10 Minutes
Easy
We love to cook out over a campfire during the summer. Even the mosquitoes can't keep us from roasting hotdogs and marshmallows. Since we cook out a lot, we have a fairly organized system for getting everything outside, but the one thing that always stumped me were the utensils. They were often spilled in the bottom of a box or bag and I never knew which ones were clean or dirty.
As I was looking into my stash of cans and jars, I had an aha! moment. Why not use some of my empty cans to help corral the plastic utensils?
I wrapped three soup cans with coordinating patterned paper. Not only is is super easy, but it is inexpensive.
Rather than glue the cans together, I tied them together with some grosgrain ribbon. This will let me remove or add cans as needed.

This utensil caddy is easy to carry and easy to store and best of all, I don't have spilled utensils everywhere!
