Travel Trunk Chalk Paint Makeover
I got this old trunk last year for FREE! It wasn't much to look at before (ugly!)...but it's amazing what a little paint will do! I painted it and even I can hardly believe it's the same trunk. (it is! ;) ) Paint can transform just about anything.
Before and After of this very ugly, beat up trunk.
Rusted gold trim, vinyl "wood"...not attractive.
Did a bit of prep, painted a few different colors of Chalk Paint. Measured for the grain sack stripes, painted them in...
...and done. Distressed to look like an "aged" trunk but NOT the 70's aged that is was originally.

I have a make up table that I want to redo with chalk paint. I was wondering if I could paint over the hardware.....glad to see that I can.....thanks!
