    Great idea..I used pieces of firewood to make center piece...turned out great,,been using for Thanksgiving for 5 years

      I have a river birch piece of wood and had some holes drilled in it and put battery candles in them wth Christmas garland around it for Christmas. It turned out beautiful! ! !
