Fire hydrant problem

Woodbridge Environmental Tiptophouse.com on Jun 27, 2014That answer is best left to the local FD. Any suggestions such as planting, painting or decorations that would inhibit access on all sides could result in stiff fines and legal action.Helpful Reply

Donna Byram on Jun 28, 2014Here's a picture I found. I would first call your fire dept. and make sure you can do this. It is still accessible and looks good too.Helpful Reply

Jeanette S on Jun 28, 2014Follow the rules the FD gives you. Some want nothing done with them but here in our city, some organization dresses them up like known cartoon characters. It is done only in certain areas. I would suggest that if you do plant flowers that you plant yellow ones so as not to obscure the red of the hydrant. Also, you know that if it is ever needed to fight a fire, anything you put out will be trampled!Helpful Reply
