I have the standard Laundry closet, I have a Samsung @ w/d that was stacked but I decided to unstack them because they couldn't get the vibration to stop..here's my problem. I put them on pedestals that have the drawer (great idea), now I find that I cant open the drawers because the bifold doors when open are in the way and they are so high now there's no reason put put shelves as I wouldn't be able to reach them. Any ideas besides taking them off the pedestals?

You could change the laundry room doors to another style that wouldn't get in the way of the pedistals

I'm not a big fan of bi-fold doors so I took mine off, including the track, and put up a curtain in its place. It adds a nice touch of color too!

I was going to suggest what Mary-Jo Jenson-Schramm suggested.... stylish and solves your problem.

If you have the room, put up one of those ever so popular sliding barn doors.
  • You could also make your bifolds into cafe doors that swing too. for storage you could think about cabinets across the top hanging from the ceiling too for extra storage. I did this above my frig and soon to be new freezer area. good luck.
