Textured wall paper

We are in the home stretch of a kitchen makeover. Our last effort is the back splash. We have found some gorgeous and pricey tile and are also looking at wall paper. The kind that you paint. I have done some abstract painting and may try that on it. Anyone used this as a backsplash and if so, pros and cons? I Thanks!

Hi I've had the textured wallpaper as my backsplash for years now. Resembles tin tiles. Even painted it a few times. Put a poly coat which yellowed a bit near splash areas. All in all I'd do it again. Purchased it a Walmart I think.

Thanks! I don't suppose you have a picture of it? I used faux tin copper tiles in my last kitchen but don't want the same effect this time.

I am just finishing mine. I chose to mount my wallpaper on thin plywood, I used a rustoleum hammered silver and dry brushed it with a black chalky paint... I like it, but just ordered Modern Masters reactive copper paint w the patina in blue and green, you should Google this product as its AMAXING and it comes in many "metals" and finishes. I so extremely excited to try this and I think its going to be perfect for my faux tiles.
