DIY Memory Square Made of My Dad's Recycled Shirts

I lost my dad this year but my memory of him lives on in this caring gift from my sister Judy. It is a memory square made of my dad's recycled shirts.
Judy lovingly cut up his shirts and made a quilt square from them that now hangs in my kitchen. I think of it every time I walk by it and remember him in those shirts.
You can see details of how she did this project on my website.
The square is about 12 inches wide when finished.
The heart shaped stitching adds a special touch.
The date of dad's death is on the back in a heart shaped piece of his shirt.

This is so touching and a great idea. I remember making a kissing ball out of my dad's ties after he passed. Wish I would have known about this back then.
